A&M INVESTIGATING ‘RACIST’ VIDEO
The president of Texas A&M, Michael Young says a social media video is being investigated by A&M’s Student Conduct Office.
The video, which went viral on Twitter, features what were described as racist remarks made by two students.
Two men and a woman are seen in the 37 second that had 366,000 views on Twitter from Saturday through Monday.
A&M’s Twitter response was “This behavior is abhorrent.” It went on to thank members of the public for alerting them to the video, which was forwarded to the proper officials.
Young says those found responsible will be held accountable.
A petition posted Monday on Change.org has already received more than 700 signatures asking that the students in the video be reprimanded.
