GIDDINGS SET TO HOST GRIMES STREET MUSIC FEST WEDNESDAY NIGHT
The inaugural Grimes Street Music Fest, aka the 3rd of July Street Dance, will take over downtown Giddings tonight (Wednesday).
Activities begin at 7 p.m. on the Lee County Courthouse lawn with a performance of the National Anthem from the Texas Unlimited Band.
People are invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and cold drinks out to the courthouse lawn for a night of fun, ending at 10 p.m. Grimes Street will be closed to traffic to make room for all the festivities.
The event is being sponsored by the Giddings Chamber of Commerce, City of Giddings, and Lee County. For more information, email the Chamber at chambergiddings@gmail.com.
