84-YR. OLD WOMAN CHARGED WITH 1984 LEON CO. MURDER

An elderly Anderson County woman has been arrested in a Leon County murder case from 35 years ago.
84-year old Norma Allbritton has been formally charged in the 1984 death of her husband Johnnie.
According to law enforcement, Norma Allbritton was arrested last week for the shooting death of her husband, whose body was discovered alongside Highway 75 between Centerville and Buffalo in Leon County.
Allbritton was indicted by a grand jury last month. She was arrested last Sunday and bonded out two days later on a $50,000 bond from the Leon County jail.
Leon County Sheriff Kevin Ellis says more arrests are possible. Authorities have not released a motive for the murder.
