LOCAL MEETINGS THIS WEEK ON FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION

  

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will hold three informational meetings locally this week on foster care and adoption.

Two of the meetings will be held today (Tuesday), one in Brenham and one in Bastrop.  The third will be held Thursday in Giddings.

All of the meetings will be held at the Health and Human Service Departments in their respective cities at 6 p.m.  They are open to the public for anyone interested in getting licensed as a foster or adoption parent with Child Protective Services.

Representatives will be present to discuss the basic requirements, training, and responsibilities of a foster parent.

The meeting in Brenham will be held at 2248 South Market Street, in Bastrop at 3809 Loop 150 East, and in Giddings at 2020 North Main Street.
