SEVERAL INJURED AFTER BULL GORING IN NAVASOTA
Multiple people continue their recovery after they were injured last weekend by a bull in Navasota.
Grimes County Sheriff’s deputies were called out Friday afternoon to Millstone Drive, where they said a bull owned by a neighbor entered the property and became hostile when those onsite tried to corral it.
Four people were injured, two critically. Authorities were able to get the bull away from the victims and begin medical treatment. The bull was later put down by its owner.
Several ambulances and air medics were dispatched to the scene. Todd Mission and Plantersville volunteer firefighters secured landing zones for the helicopters.
Two victims were airlifted to area hospitals, one was taken by ambulance, and another was treated at the scene and released. Fundraisers for those injured are being prepared.
Deputies say the owner of the bull does not face criminal charges, but could potentially face civil charges brought forth by the victims and their families.
