Dozens of local youth came out to Fireman’s Park in Brenham today (Thursday) for a morning full of learning and fun.

The community gathered at the Finke Pavilion for “Science, Storytelling, School Bus and Sno Cones”.

The day started off with children taking part in an action-packed and educational adventure, with special effects created by science experiments.  They then got to hang out at the Brenham ISD Magic School Bus, where they were treated to sno cones and had the chance to read books or play games.

The free event was a collaborative effort between the City of Brenham and Brenham ISD, in celebration of National Parks and Recreation Month.
