WANTED MAN ARRESTED IN HEMPSTEAD

(Waller Co. Jail)
One of Waller County’s most wanted fugitives has been captured.
43-year-old Quincy Jones of Hempstead was taken into custody last weekend by Hempstead police. He was arrested by several police officers and a K-9 Unit, after the Waller County Sheriff’s Office gave a tip regarding the sighting of a wanted fugitive on 16th Street in Hempstead.
According to police, Jones fled after seeing the officers, but was captured after a brief foot chase.
Jones was wanted for Evading Arrest and Detention, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Failure to appear/Bail Jumping, and a Parole Violation Warrant for five counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Police say he now faces additional charges of Evading Apprehension.
Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith said, thanks to quick thinking officers and the “Most Wanted” publication by Waller County Crime Stoppers, the Sheriff’s Office is “confident that wanted fugitives will be apprehended”.
