GAS PRICES CONTINUE TO DROP

  

Gas prices continue to fall, locally and across the state.

The average price of unleaded regular dropped four-cents over the past week to a state average of $2.47 per gallon, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.

That price is 18 cents less per gallon compared to this same time last year.

Locally, the average price of a gallon of gas in Brenham stands at $2.44 per gallon, with a low of $2.29 and a high of $2.69.

Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Texas, drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $2.64 while drivers in McAllen are paying the least at $2.31 per gallon.

The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.72, which is three cents less than this day last week and 15 cents less than the price per gallon at this same time last year.
