BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A Brenham man has been arrested on a domestic assault charge.
Just after 2:00 Monday morning, 55-year old Melvin Ragston of Brenham was arrested at a residence in the 300 block of Shepard Lane.
Police were dispatched to a disturbance at that location. At the scene, their investigation alleges that Ragston assaulted a family member.
He was placed in custody for Assault/Family Violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Ragston has been arrested twice on similar charges at that same location.
