Dr. Jeff Hyde was appointed Thursday, following a vote by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
Hyde previously served as acting associate dean and director of Penn State Extension, where he provided oversight of extension programs, operations and external relations, and also served as a professor of agricultural economics.
Hyde says he is “very excited” to come to Texas A&M, and looks forward to setting a vision for AgriLife Extension that supports its traditional audiences, which he says will allow the Extension to spread its impacts to all Texans.
Hyde will begin work in College Station September 1st.
