BURLESON, LEON COUNTIES ENACT BURN BANS

  

Nearly all of the Brazos Valley is now under burn ban.

Burleson and Leon Counties announced Monday they are under burn ban, joining 126 other counties across the state.

Burleson County’s burn ban is effective for the next 90 days, beginning Monday, while Leon County’s is effective until further notice.

A burn ban prohibits outdoor burning until the ban is lifted.

At this point, the only area counties not under burn ban are Washington and Austin Counties.
