ENTRY FORMS AVAILABLE FOR 2019 CHAPPELL HILL SCARECROW CONTEST

  

The Chappell Hill Historical Society is now accepting entries for its annual Scarecrow Contest.

Residents of Chappell Hill are encouraged to take part in the contest, bringing scarecrows and fall themes to life in time for the annual Scarecrow Festival, set for October 12^th and 13^th.

Scarecrows need to be displayed by October 1^st, and judging will take place on October 5^th.  Entry forms will be available at the Chappell Hill Historical Society Museum, located at 9220 Poplar Street.  Entries must be submitted by September 27^th.

Prizes will be awarded in the Residents/Business and Children’s Categories.  Residents and businesses are eligible to win first, second, and third place prizes of $100, $75, and $50, respectively.  Meanwhile, children can win prizes of $50, $25, and $15.

After all entries are submitted, the Historical Society will provide a list of all the entries on its website and at its office, so people can find the locations of all the scarecrows.
