(Houston Police Dept.)

According to Houston police, 29-year-old Erick Diaz-Arandas of Mexico is being charged with murder in connection to an incident on August 4th.  Police say Diaz-Arandas approached someone standing outside a car storage lot and shot them several times.

Diaz-Arandas was arrested earlier this month after a joint operation including the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, DPS, and ATF.  Authorities served the warrant at a residence on Highway 30 in Shiro.

Harris County court documents show that Diaz-Arandas has been arrested multiple times in Houston from 2007 to 2009, on charges including drug possession and burglary.

  1. The article says he is “of Mexico”. The article also says he was arrested in Houston multiple times 10-12 years ago. Is he a dual citizen?

    1. This possibly could be why he’s still in the states if he’s not a citizen. The court system slaps you on the wrist and sets a court date them most of the time they don’t show up so until they commit another crime then and only then they say he/she been arrested multiple times. Just a thought but the article doesn’t say if he’s illegally in the states or just from Mexico being he was born here but has moved so I would say yes to the dual citizenship. We may never know…
