FAYETTE CO. DEPUTIES MAKE TWO LATE-NIGHT DRUG ARRESTS

Two men were recently taken into custody in La Grange after late-night drug arrests.
Wednesday night, around 11:30 p.m., Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle on Business 71 near Rattler’s, for a defective brake light. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Benjamin Jenkins Koby of Smithville, was said to have shown nervous behavior and admitted to having meth in the vehicle.
After searching the vehicle, deputies not only found methamphetamines, but also heroin and Tramadol pills. Koby was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.

Then early this (Friday) morning, around 1 a.m., authorities stopped a vehicle on Highway 71 on the ramp near McDonald’s, for a defective light. Deputies made contact with the driver, 27-year-old Brandon Lee Allen of La Grange, and found through a license check that he was wanted out of Florida for Vehicle Theft.
Deputies also found a small amount of marijuana, meth, and pills in the vehicle. Allen was arrested and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Fugitive from Justice out of Florida.
