ARREST MADE IN ‘JUGGING’ SCHEME
A lengthy Brenham Police investigation has led to the arrest of a local woman in an alleged bank jugging scheme.
Just after noon, Friday, September sixth, Brenham Police say a person withdrew a large amount of money from a local bank then had the money stolen while their vehicle was parked in the Bluebonnet Shopping Center.
26-year old Qunesha Lache Ward of Brenham was arrested by the Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Reduction Unit.
Ward is charged with felony Theft of Property between $2500-and-$30,000.
Police are reminding residents to avoid keeping large amounts of cash or other valuables in an unattended vehicle.
They also urge residents to be aware of their surroundings and call the police if anything suspicious is observed.
