Brenham Animal Services have safely found a “ghost”.
Last week, officials put out notice that they were looking for a large white mixed breed with spotted black ears and a black spot on his left eye. The stray dog, appropriately named “Ghost”, had eluded officials for several months as it wandered streets around the city.
On Friday, Ghost entered a fenced yard, when construction workers closed the gate on him and called animal services officers.
Ghost is now at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center, where staff say he is doing great and making friends. He is not quite ready to be put up for adoption, but Brenham Animal Services will post updates on Ghost via Facebook.

Meanwhile, Ghost’s friend Halley is ready to be adopted. Halley is a Cur mix, about a year old, and has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She gets along well with other dogs, and would be a good match for people of any age. She would also make a good companion for anyone who would like to go hiking or jogging.
If you would like to visit with Ghost or adopt Halley, head to the Brenham Pet Adoption Center at 1804 Longwood Drive.
