BRENHAM CUB BAND TO PERFORM “THE FOUR FREEDOMS” FRIDAY

  

The Brenham Cub Band is preparing to put on a Friday afternoon performance, ahead of Homecoming.

The band will perform “The Four Freedoms” at 4:30 p.m. for free at Cub Stadium.  This will be the Cub band’s Friday performance this week, as traditional Homecoming festivities will be taking place during halftime.

Band Director Eric Rettig says the show’s flags, stages, and visual assets are based on the four freedoms outlined by President Franklin Roosevelt in his State of the Union address, 11 months before Pearl Harbor.

Rettig says the band has enjoyed working on the show, and while it is just shy of finishing staging for all of the final movement, it is excited to show off what it has so far.
