WALLER CO. FAIR ACTIVITIES UNDERWAY

  

Fair season is rolling right along, with activities now underway in Waller County.

Festivities began Friday at the Waller County Fairgrounds with the barbecue cook-off, hay show awards, youth rough stock rodeo, and entertainment from Dueling Pianos.  They continued Saturday with the fair parade through downtown Hempstead, and performances from Cody Wayne, Gene Watson, and Kyle Park.

This year’s Waller County Fair Queen is Anna Gunderson.  Other members of the court were Nancy Gray, Riley Kohler, Kaleigh LeBlanc, Molly Paliwoda, and McKenna Turpin.  Meanwhile, this year's Little Mr. and Miss are Luke Garrett and Bristol Schmidt.

Livestock activities begin tomorrow (Tuesday), with the junior livestock judging contest and results on Friday, and the auction on Saturday.

Upcoming entertainment includes Jeff Woolsey on Thursday; Hayden Baker, Tanner Fenoglio, and Jason Boland on Friday; and Kris Jones, Jarrod Birmingham, and Restless Heart on Saturday.
