WOMAN ARRESTED NEAR SCHULENBURG AFTER METH, XANAX, ECSTASY FOUND IN POUCH

A Hallettsville woman was arrested Sunday in Fayette County, where she faces several narcotics possession charges.
Just after 6:45 p.m. Sunday evening, Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a GMC pickup for speeding on Highway 77 South, near Schulenburg. After making contact with the driver, deputies found that a passenger was showing very nervous behavior.

After receiving consent to search the vehicle, deputies, who were assisted by DPS, located a small leather pouch in the passenger seat. That pouch held two small baggies with a crystal-type substance, two crystal rocks believed to be meth, two glass pipes used for smoking meth, 16 Xanax pills, and ecstasy pills.
28-year-old Amber Danielle Linnett was taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center. She is charged with three felony counts and one misdemeanor count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
