BRENHAM CUB BAND TO PERFORM “FOUR FREEDOMS” SATURDAY

  

The Brenham Cub Band is getting ready to put on another pair of performances of “The Four Freedoms” this weekend at Cub Stadium.

The band’s show Saturday reflects the freedoms outlined by President Franklin Roosevelt in his State of the Union address, 11 months before Pearl Harbor.  The freedoms will be displayed in modern perspective.

The first performance will be at 6:30 p.m. at the local festival hosted by Blinn College.  The Blinn festival has a $5 entry fee.

At 8:30 p.m., after the festival is over, the band will perform an exhibition.  Band Director Eric Rettig said, since Blinn does not have a finals competition as a part of the contest, the band will practice a second performance and work on keeping the energy throughout to make it a great one.
