MONTGOMERY FORFEITS FOOTBALL GAME AMID HAZING INVESTIGATION
Friday night’s high school football game between Huntsville and Montgomery, in Montgomery, has been cancelled amidst a hazing investigation.
In a statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation into alleged hazing began on September 30th.
Officials say the investigation involves “numerous Montgomery ISD students at an off-campus private residence.”
Sheriff’s detectives and officers with the Montgomery ISD Police are coordinating the investigation. Once it is completed, evidence will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s and County Attorney’s offices for review.
The Montgomery ISD says it takes the hazing allegations ‘seriously’, and that Friday’s game will be forfeited.
No details regarding the investigation have been released.
