BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REMINDS PUBLIC OF OUTDOOR BURNING REGULATIONS

The Brenham Fire Department is reminding citizens of the city’s rules for outdoor burning.

The department has released a document, available to view by the public, which explains outdoor burning regulations as approved by city ordinance.  The document goes into detail on what is and is not allowed for open burning, recreational fires, and bonfires.

Brenham Fire Marshal Roger Williams said he receives calls often regarding the city’s regulations, so the department created the document to help give residents a better understanding.

Williams said there are a few misconceptions on what is and is not allowed within city limits, such as burning leaves.

The full overview of outdoor burning regulations can be seen above.  Anyone with additional questions can contact Williams at 979-337-7302.
