BUFFALO SOLDIERS AT WINEDALE HISTORICAL COMPLEX SATURDAY
Historical soldiers will be coming to Round Top this weekend.
Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m., the Ninth Cavalry of Buffalo Soldiers will be at the Winedale Historical Complex.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department demonstrators will be on hand to show a typical encampment, including tents and equipment.
After the Civil War, the Buffalo Soldiers came to Texas and set up camp in forts along the frontier.
The program is free and open to the public. The Lewis-Wagner house will also be open for tours.
The complex can be found at 3738 FM 2714 in Round Top.
