ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT AND OTHERS INDICTED

  

A Brenham man has been indicted for an armed robbery earlier this year in Chappell Hill.

43-year old Elijah Holmes was arrested back in September for allegedly robbing a convenience store in Chappell Hill.

Sheriff’s deputies were called out to the Rattler’s Country Store on Highway 290, just after 3:00 a.m., September 8^th, after clerk says a man with his face covered, robbed the store at gun-point.

Holmes was arrested several days later, following a Sheriff’s Department investigation.  He was indicted Tuesday, on a charge of Aggravated Robbery.

Holmes was also indicted on a separate charge of Burglary of a Building.

Also among the indictments, was 28-year old Carl Lee Williams Jr. of Industry.  He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Brenham Police were called to an apartment in the 500 block of Church Street, back on the Fourth of July.  According to authorities, their investigation revealed that an altercation took place that turned physical.

A pair of brothers from Brenham were also indicted on similar charges of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Other Felony.

29-year old Carlos Emilio Flores-Martel and 39-year old Jimy Lenin Hernandez-Martel were arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies after an incident last month, where a gun was fired at a local residence.

Also indicted by the local Grand Jury:

53-year old Earl Mathis of Brenham on a charge of Assault/Family Violence – Impeding Breath/Circulation.

23-year old Brandon Michael Reeves of Brenham, Abandoning/Endangering a Child – Criminal Negligence.

20-year old Essence Dixon of Brenham for Assault of a Public Servant.

27-year old Eric Dillard of Copperhill, Tennessee, Tampering with Physical Evidence.

And, 22-year old Robert Bates of Killeen for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
