FIVE-HOUR CEU CONFERENCE DECEMBER 6TH IN INDUSTRY

  

Anyone in need of extra Continuing Education Units (CEUs) is encouraged to attend an upcoming five-hour CEU seminar in Industry.

The conference, hosted by the Austin County Beef and Forage Committee, will be held Friday, December 6th at the Four County Auction Center in Industry, at Highway 159 and FM 2754.  Registration will take place at noon, with the program beginning at 1 p.m.

Program topics will include weed control in improved pastures, a laws and regulations update for the Texas Department of Agriculture, livestock predation, and identification and control of livestock parasites.  Credits to be given include one hour of Laws and Regulations, three hours of General Credit, and one hour of Drift Management.

Private applicators need 15 CEUs in order to re-certify.  Two hours must be in Laws and Regulations and two in Integrated Pest Management, with others coming in the general category.

Registration is $20 at the door, which includes refreshments and a meal at the end of the program.
