FIVE SENTENCED IN LOCAL COURT
An Austin man has been sentenced to eight years in prison in the latest session of 21st District Court.
32-year old Brandon Oneil Roberts was arrested back in March on a charge of Continuous Violence Against The Family – a Third Degree Felon. He was then arrested about 10 days later on a charge of Assault of a Family Member Impede Breath/Circulation – also a Third Degree Felony.
He was sentenced to eight years on each charge, which will run concurrently.
Also in Thursday’s District Court session:
56-year old Randy Eugene Clayton of Brenham, had his probation revoked on a 2018 charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance – a Second Degree Felony. He was sentenced to 6 years in prison and fined $1500.
33-year old Andrea Shermain Jackson of Brenham, was sentenced to 298 days in jail and ordered to pay $1347 in restitution for a 2016 arrest for Theft of Property, Less than $2500, with two or More Previous Convictions – a State Jail Felony.
49-year old Stephen Lemos Otero of Brenham, was placed on five years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Otero was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours of Community Service.
And, 22-year old Amare Hill of Fort Worth, received three years’ probation for Theft of a Firearm – a State Jail Felony. He was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours of Community Service.
