FAYETTE CO. S.O. MAKES ARRESTS

  

Two men face charges after separate traffic stops by Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies.

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that 32-year old Milton Evans III of Bastrop was pulled over Monday for a traffic violation in the area of South Kirtley Road.

According to authorities, Evans did not have a driver’s license and the vehicle smelled of marijuana.

Deputies located a package containing a marijuana as well as a marijuana cigarette.

Evans was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Late Tuesday night, 45-year old James Touchet of La Grange was pulled over on a traffic violation in LaGrange.

Authorities discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Touchet also had a package of methamphetamine concealed under his clothing.  He also allegedly resisted arrest leading to a brief struggle before he was taken into custody.

Touchet was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering/Fabricating with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
