WALLER CO. COMMISSIONERS PASS “GUN SANCTUARY” RESOLUTION

Waller County has become the latest county in Texas to declare itself a “Second Amendment sanctuary”.

On Tuesday, Waller County Commissioners passed a resolution stating the county will not support “any unconstitutional firearms laws, mandates or confiscation actions against any citizen who otherwise has a constitutional right to possess said firearms”.

The resolution also says commissioners “will not authorize or appropriate government funds, resources, employees, agencies, contractors, buildings, detention centers or offices for the purpose of enforcing law that unconstitutionally infringes on the right of people to keep and bear arms”.

The resolution passed on a 4-0 vote, with Commissioner John Amsler not present at Tuesday’s meeting.  The county joins 12 others across the state that have passed similar resolutions.

  1. Bravo to the leaders of Waller County.
The idea that the 2nd Amendment or any other right was negotiable or that the recipient has to meet a criteria is absurd.
It should be Nationwide just as ALL rights are stated to be.
Gay marriage and alcohol sales which neither are “rights” are recognized. Why?
