HOPE RISING “BOOTS N BELLS GALA” SATURDAY AT BARNHILL CENTER
A local anti-human sex trafficking organization will host its biggest fundraiser of the year this weekend at the Barnhill Center in Brenham.
Hope Rising Ministries will hold its “Boots N Bells Gala” Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m., bringing the community together to raise awareness of sex trafficking and abuse.
The evening will feature Christmas festivities, live music from Jack Carr and Ryan Elise Fatheree, a catered meal from Connie Wilder and the Funky Art Café, and live and silent auctions.
Hope Rising Founder Sherri Clement says all the proceeds from the event will benefit the organization as it continues its mission of rescuing and rehabilitating sex trafficking and abuse survivors, so they can go on to live successful and productive lives.
Some of the organization’s programs include long-term foster care, equine therapy, fully accredited education and coursework, and several awareness and training programs.
Tickets for the gala start at $75, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
