FAYETTEVILLE COUNTRY CHRISTMAS AND HOMES TOUR SATURDAY
The City of Fayetteville is preparing to host its 23rd Annual Country Christmas and Home Tour.
Hosted by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, Saturday’s festivities run from 1 to 7 p.m. across the historic community.
The home tour takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. at several residences. A map with the homes on the tour will be available at stores on the town square, along with tickets.
Activities in downtown include a pet costume contest at 3 p.m., free horse-drawn carriage rides from 3 to 6 p.m., and shopping at stores until 7 p.m. Wassail and other drinks will also be served.
Santa will arrive by fire truck at 4 p.m., and he and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos.
Entries for the lighted parade will begin lining up at 5:45 p.m. along North Washington Street, between the Grand Fayette Hotel and Orsak’s. The parade begins at 6 p.m.
