GERMANIA INSURANCE BUYS NAMING RIGHTS FOR AUSTIN’S CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS AMPHITHEATER
An insurance company with headquarters in Brenham has purchased the naming rights for a popular entertainment venue in Austin.
The Circuit of the Americas (COTA) announced this week it sold the naming rights of its amphitheater to Germania Insurance. Through the partnership, the venue will be renamed the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
The financial terms of the seven-year deal, which begins in January, were not disclosed.
The amphitheater, which opened in 2013, is an open-air venue in COTA’s sports and entertainment site. Seating 14,000, the amphitheater has hosted performances from Drake, Janet Jackson, and Willie Nelson.
The venue was previously named the Austin 360 Amphitheater, through a partnership with the Austin American-Statesman newspaper and its Austin360 entertainment and events website and publication.
