Dr. Jeff Hyde will speak at the 58th Blackland Income Growth Conference, scheduled for January 14th at the Waco Convention Center.  Dr. Hyde became agency director September 1st, previously serving as associate dean and director of Penn State Extension.

The conference, sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Waco Chamber of Commerce, serves as a primer for farmers, ranchers, and landowners making preparations heading into the new production year.  Organizers say the event also assists novice landowners with education and management practices.

Throughout the day, attendees will take part in concurrent sessions involving horticulture, beef, grain, cotton, wildlife, and forage.  Specialty sessions will address land management and agriculture and health.

Conference registration is $25, and includes lunch.  To RSVP, call 254-757-5180.
