A Schulenburg woman has been arrested, after authorities found her in possession of meth and pills not prescribed to her during a Christmas Eve traffic stop.
Around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle just south of La Grange on Highway 77 for an equipment violation.
Authorities found the driver, 42-year-old Karla Stevens, to be extremely nervous, and received consent to search the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle, deputies located methamphetamine and prescription pills that were not prescribed to Stevens. She was taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
