FESTIVAL HILL TO HOST DR. CELIL KAYA JANUARY 25TH
The Round Top Festival Institute is getting ready to host a performance from a world-renowned musician.
Dr. Celil Refik Kaya appears as a soloist and international artist touring around the United States and Europe. He’ll be stopping in Round Top on Saturday, January 25th.
Since his concert debut at age 6, Dr. Kaya has received high accolades for his myriad accomplishments. He is the youngest First Prize winner in the 2012 JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition with the Buffalo Philharmonic, and one of two three-time prizewinners of the Guitar Foundation of America International Guitar Competition. In May 2017, he was awarded “Rising Young Musician of the Year” by the Donizetti Music Classical Awards in Istanbul.
Dr. Kaya’s solo guitar performance in Round Top on the 25th will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall. Lunch will be available prior to the concert at 12:45 p.m. in the Menke House Dining Hall, by reservation only. Doors open one hour prior to the concert.
