HOSPICE BRAZOS VALLEY TO RELOCATE INPATIENT FACILITY TO CHI ST. JOSEPH IN COLLEGE STATION
Hospice Brazos Valley has announced it will relocate its inpatient facility from Bryan to College Station.
This spring, the inpatient facility will be relocated from its current location on Joseph Drive in Bryan to the second floor of CHI St. Joseph Health Hospital in College Station on Rock Prairie Road. This location is the former College Station Medical Center, which CHI St. Joseph acquired on August 1st.
Hospice Brazos Valley officials say the new location provides ample parking, which creates a more accessible and convenient location for patients and their families needing inpatient hospice care. They also say it gives the organization a physical presence in College Station.
The inpatient hospice facility will offer seven rooms in what officials call “a state-of-the-art hospice environment”. No other changes in inpatient hospice operations are expected.
CHI St. Joseph Health President and CEO Theron Park says moving inpatient hospice to College Station will allow CHI St. Joseph to expand its services and carry out its healthcare ministry and mission.
Hospice Brazos Valley CEO Craig Borchardt says this move will allow the organization to “continue providing excellent patient care as part of our commitment to serve the community and our healthcare partners”.
Hospice Brazos Valley operates the only hospice focused inpatient facility that serves a seventeen county area, which includes the Brenham, La Grange and Bryan-College Station areas.
The move is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2020.
