GRAHAM MASONIC LODGE DONATES FLAGS TO BRENHAM ISD

  

Brenham’s Graham Masonic Lodge presented six sets of flags Thursday to Brenham ISD.

The flags, which were flown over the Texas State Capitol on special dates in Texas history, will be flown at each campus.

The flags were presented to Graham Masonic Lodge by George Moxley, representing Austin Scottish Rite, as part of a program that started several years ago.

The benefactor of the program is Dr. Robert Northcutt, a retired math professor from Texas State University.  Dr. Northcutt envisioned the program as a method to reinforce the importance of public education in the history of Texas, and the significant role Masonry and Masons played across the state in developing that system.
