LOCAL PICKLEBALL CLINIC THIS SUNDAY
One of the fastest growing sports in America and in Brenham is hosting a free clinic this weekend.
The city is sponsoring a free Pickleball clinic at Jackson Street Park, Sunday. A second clinic will be held Sunday April fifth.
Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all age and skill levels. The game combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
The Brenham Pickleball League has grown to over 100 current players including men and women, most of who are over the age of fifty.
The City of Brenham sponsors free clinics several times throughout the year. The clinic Sunday and April 5th, begin at 3 pm each day at the park courts, adjacent to South Jackson Street.
