CUBETTE SOFTBALL ALUMNI SHINE THIS WEEKEND

 

A pair of former Brenham Cubette softball players has a big weekend.

Kelly Jurden

Former Cubette outfielder, Kelly Jurden, a junior at Texas Lutheran, stole two bases in Bulldogs’ 9-1 win over the University of Dallas.

The two steals give Jurden 102 career stolen bases, a new career-record for the TLU program.

Jurden also has two hits, two runs scored and an rbi in the Bulldogs’ win.  She is hitting .410 so far this season, with 14 total stolen bases.

Kat Marshall

Former Cubette catcher/infielder Kat Marshall helped lead Northwestern State to a pair of wins: 13-2 over Evansville and 4-3 over Northern Illinois.

Marshall, the Cubettes’ career home run leader, homered in each of the Lady Deamons’ wins.  For the weekend, Marshall went 4-for-7, with four runs scored and six runs batted in.

For the season, Marshall is hitting .348, with three homers and 18 runs batted in.
