BRENHAM BANKS TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO COMBAT COVID-19
Several local banks have announced adjustments to their operations in order to stop the possible spread of COVID-19.
Brenham National Bank, Bank of Brenham, Citizens State Bank, Associated Credit Union of Texas, and Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union are either encouraging members to utilize alternatives to in-person service, or are temporarily closing their lobbies outright.
Brenham National Bank has closed its lobbies in Brenham, College Station, and Chappell Hill until further notice. Drive-thrus will remain open for normal operation. The personal banker office on the first floor of the Brenham branch will also be operational from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All personal banker and new account services will be available in this space.
Bank of Brenham’s lobby remains open until further notice, but access to the lobby is limited. The lobby will remain available for access to safe deposit boxes, and for the new accounts and lending departments. All teller transactions are being made through the drive-thru, and customers are strongly encouraged to use mobile and online banking.
Citizens State Bank is also limiting access to its bank lobbies in Brenham, Somerville, Caldwell, Deanville, Snook, and Navasota. The lobbies will be available by appointment only for transactions consisting of new accounts, new loans, and safe deposit box access. The drive-thru lanes, including drive-up ATMs, will remain available.
The lobbies of Associated Credit Union of Texas are temporarily unavailable in order to promote social distancing and to protect the health and wellness of employees and members. Members are being served primarily through the drive-thru and over the phone.
The lobbies of Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union are now only open by appointment. Members are encouraged to use drive-thru, online, and mobile banking services.
