Tabitha Windom
(Brazos Co. Jail)

29-year old Tabitha Windom had to be tased after the chase last Friday that began on the east side of Caldwell and ended in Brazos County.

According to DPS Sgt. Jimmy Morgan, the pursuit started on Highway 21 near FM 2000 when a Burleson County deputy identified a stolen SUV.  During the 49 minute pursuit, the driver reportedly threw unidentified items out of the SUV that struck patrol vehicles.

The chase ended after the SUV drove over spikes on Highway 6 near the Navasota River.

Windom is then accused of exiting the vehicle and began swinging a baseball bat at officers.  Morgan says that resulted in Windom being shot and subdued with a Taser.

She was charged with Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest, and Aggravated Assault.
