“REMÉNY” NAMED PET OF THE WEEK

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Remény” as its Pet of the Week.

Remény is a Husky mix, about three months old.  His name means “hope” in Hungarian.

Brenham Animal Services staff say Remény came to the shelter with parvo, but has been recovering well.  Staff encourage those interested in adopting a Husky to study up on the breed if they are unfamiliar with it, as they shed quite a lot and need time to run each day.

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is currently closed to visitors, but adoptions are still available by appointment.  Potential adopters can look online at www.petfinder.com to see the shelter’s list of pets, then call the shelter at 979-337-7351 to make an appointment to meet the pet.  Appointments can also be made through the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page.

Appointments are being accepted Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
