TWO ARRESTED IN LOCAL INCIDENT SATURDAY MORNING

Two people have been arrested after a Saturday morning incident in Brenham.
Brenham Police and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 2800 block of Highway 290 East, just east of Woodward Creek, just before 10:00 a.m., Saturday.

At the scene, police found 49-year old John Lester of Katy, stumbling near the highway. He was charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Marijuana.
A second person, 41-year old Amy Johnson of Willis was also at the scene and arrested on several charges including: Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container, Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana.
Both were taken to the Washington County Jail.
