POLICE ARREST LOCAL MAN ON DRUG CHARGE

A Brenham man faces charges after his arrest on a drug possession charge.
Friday morning, just after 10:15, the Brenham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit conducted an investigation into the sales and distribution of illegal narcotics at a residence in the 500 block of Clinton Street.
Other members of the Brenham Police Department and the Washington County EMS assisted in a search at the residence.
33-year old Garred Kyle Watkins of Brenham was placed in custody on a charge of Possession of Marijuana between 4-ounces and 5-pounds in a Drug Free Zone.
He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
