BUSH LIBRARY CANCELS JULY 4TH CELEBRATION

One Brazos Valley institution has already cancelled it long-running Independence Day celebration.

The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M has called off their annual July 4th “I Love America” celebration.

Spokesman David Anaya says the decision follows social distancing guidelines and discussion with community partners.

Anaya says coronavirus has resulted in cancelling other activities at the museum through July, including: Junteenth, educational programs, and summer camps.

New activities are starting online at bush41.org. That includes video tours by the museum’s director.

The museum’s archives department also continues an online presence.
