PAXTON: “THE GOVERNOR’S ORDERS ARE CLEAR”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says the Governor’s orders are clear.
Beginning today (Friday) the Governor's order is allowing some businesses to partially reopen. Paxton reiterates that does not include bars, gyms, public swimming pools, tattoo studios, piercing studios, or cosmetology salons.
Tuesday, Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough challenged the order, saying it was too vague and he would allow those businesses to open on Friday if there wasn't more clarity.
Thursday night the AG's office issued a formal opinion saying the order is clear and any attempt to override the Governor's order would be considered "invalid."
A letter of clarification was also sent to Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta, who also called Abbott's phase one order "vague and unenforceable."
