NEW CONVENIENCE STORE CONSTRUCTION LEADS APRIL BUILDING PERMITS

  

Construction of a new convenience store on South Blue Bell Road led the month of April for building permits issued by the City of Brenham.

A $1.3 million permit was issued to Zippy J’s Brenham Holdings, LLC for new construction of the Zippy J’s convenience store and fuel pumps at 203 South Blue Bell Road.  The project is contracted to ARH Development out of Kilgore.

The city issued 18 permits in April worth $2,347,425, noticeably smaller than the 29 permits issued last April for $18,141,304.

Eight new homes were permitted in April, totaling $813,180.  So far this year, the city has permitted 30 new homes for $4,123,897.

Through 2020 so far, the city has issued 108 permits worth $47,037,239, compared to 98 permits for $26,288,333 through this point last year.
