AUSTIN CO. TO HOST DRIVE-THRU COVID-19 TESTING FRIDAY

  

Drive-thru COVID-19 testing is coming to Austin County tomorrow (Friday).

Testing will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. by appointment only.  Applicants will be notified of the time and location of their appointment once their application is accepted.  Only one person will be tested per household, and no pediatric patients five years old or under will be tested.

Registration can be done online at www.txcovidtest.org, or by calling 512-883-2400.  However, only priority patients—those who are symptomatic, high risk, or in the public health or public safety agencies—are approved for online registration.  Asymptomatic patients who are not considered priority patients should call to register.

The mobile test collection site is a collaborative effort between the Texas Military Department, Texas Division of Emergency Management, Texas Emergency Medical Task Force, Texas Health and Human Services, and the Austin County Emergency Operations Center.
