MAN KILLED IN BRYAN HOUSEFIRE

  

One person is dead after a Friday afternoon house fire in Brazos County.

According to the Bryan Fire Department, they were called out to the house fire in the 300 block of Waco Street, near the intersection of State Highway 21 and Highway 6.

Investigators say when they arrived on scene they were able to pull an unconscious man from the home.

Officials say the man, in his early 30s, was taken to a nearby hospital and later died from those injuries.

According to investigators the fire does not appear suspicious, but it is still under investigation. The home is considered a total loss. Officials say the home did not have working smoke detectors.
