WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE INTERLOCAL ROAD AGREEMENT WITH FAYETTE CO.
Washington County Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement with Fayette County for road repairs at a short meeting today (Tuesday).
Commissioners approved an agreement to have Fayette County reimburse Washington County for road improvements to Raymond Lehmann Lane in Precinct Four.
Commissioners approved an agreement to have Fayette County reimburse Washington County for road improvements to Raymond Lehmann Lane in Precinct Four.
County Engineer Ross McCall said this agreement matches the one approved by commissioners in August, and accounts for a small section of the road coming off of Highway 290. He said roughly a third of a mile of the road is in Ledbetter in Fayette County, with the rest located in Washington County.
McCall said Washington County is already taking care of its portion of the road, and Commissioner Joy Fuchs worked out a deal with Fayette County to go ahead and do their part of the road in order to complete the repair project.
Fuchs said the county also performs work on Wildwood Road, Turkey Creek Road, and Dead End Lane, in order to make the county’s road work trips out there worthwhile.
Fuchs said Fayette County would reimburse Washington County upon commissioners’ approval of the agreement today.
Also at today’s meeting, commissioners approved:
- A resolution accepting the voluntary dedication and grant of 0.22 acres of private property on Kuykendall Road in Precinct One for public use.
- A subdivision variance request for a land division located on Mockingbird Road in Precinct Three.
- Formal notice for utility installation for NEWCWS-Corix Utilities, Inc. for a new one-inch service line bore at 17147 Sweed Road in Washington in Precinct One.
