PLANS FOR WASHINGTON CO. FAIR PROCEEDING “CAUTIOUSLY”

  

Officials with the Washington County Fair say they are proceeding with plans for this year’s fair, albeit cautiously.

Washington County Fair President Dean Luetge said in a release this (Wednesday) morning that the Washington County Fair Association’s Board of Directors is moving forward with plans to host the fair in “the most ‘normal’ sense that it can”.

Luetge said, while taking all precautions to ensure public safety, the board hopes to host an event that closely resembles the annual county fair that the county knows, enjoys, and expects.

The fair is currently scheduled for September 11-19 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  Luetge said there may be adjustments to the schedule and minor changes throughout the process, but hope still remains to have “a fun, safe event that can be enjoyed by all”.

Luetge said the fair’s focus will remain on the youth, and the board plans to do everything possible to have their fair experience as successful as possible.

The full schedule and entertainment lineup for the fair will be released in the coming months.
